Economic, Financial and Political Analysis from New York City

Rundt’s World Business Intelligence

In an increasingly interdependent world, doing business internationally requires a clearly focused view of national and global trends & developments, how they originated and where they will lead. The news media offer bits & pieces of the puzzle, but how do the pieces fit together? At Rundt’s, we have nearly 60 years’ experience researching and predicting the impact of world events. Our Briefs aim to provide you with the insight to understand them, and the foresight to know what comes next.

Once a week, our Intelligence Briefs analyze -- without pulling punches or seeking to be “politically correct” -- the international monetary and business scene, country by country. They succinctly interpret the latest developments and project both short and long-term prospects. They highlight the principal economic, social and political factors that bear upon trade, finance and investment.

We have no axes to grind, no vested interest. Country risk assessment is our only business, and our track record shows that we are good at it. The batting average of our forecasts is high. Our clients know that over the years their subscriptions have paid for themselves many times over. Many have told us, in personal conversations and letters, that Rundt’s World Business Intelligence is considered essential reading in their companies & banks. Our Briefs can benefit you too, in saved time, reduced risks, and in the realization of new opportunities.

Rundt’s World Business Intelligence is published 48 times a year. It covers around 180 countries, some 60 of major international importance regularly, another 80 of lesser significance roughly once every month, and a further 40 when major trends warrant it. The layout is designed to allow readers to quickly scan the contents, find areas of special interest and save entries by country for future reference.

On the front page of every issue, you will find a synopsis of the latest world market trends that are discussed inside, by country, in alphabetical order, for your fast orientation.

Every country or topical entry in the Briefs begins with a highlighted paragraph that summarizes the essence of the article and provides a quick, efficient overview for readers who are pressed for time.

Throughout the Intelligence Briefs, sub-headings and illustrative charts & graphs are used for the emphasis of key conclusions, better readability, and easier scanning.

The last three pages of every issue contain exchange rate and interest rate information for European, North American, Latin American, Middle-East, Far-East and other markets.

Throughout the Briefs, we strive above all for clarity and consistency, letting our readers know not only how we interpret trends and where we are think they are leading, but also how we arrived at our conclusions.

A unique guarantee

There are times, of course, when even the most carefully phrased explanation leaves questions open, or when it is impossible for us, within the confines of our brief country analyses, to deal with the effects of key trends and developments on specific industries or companies. Therefore:

“We are at all times prepared and happy to answer pertinent questions from our readership, be it to flesh out with greater detail something we have written, or to provide additional data, or to translate a general assessment into specific advice. We always put our clients’ interests first and are never too busy to gather information a subscriber may need, in the rare cases when we happen not to have it at our fingertips. All it takes is a phone call from you, or a fax, or an e-mail message.”
